"The Madness has yet to begin"
Snapchat has evolved since its inception and is now used to publish short-form content. Here, I am pictured covering white nationalist Richard Spencer's visit to the University of Florida. The original recording equipment was defunct and nearly prevented me from covering and reporting anything. So, I did what I did best and pulled out my phone to record and speak to whomever I saw.
"More Security Waiting"
Below is me capturing and later discovering that my coverage of the event was being featured and broadcasted on the snapchat platform nationally. There were heavily armed law enforcement officials strategically placed around campus to ensure students' safety. The atmosphere was racially and politically charged and reaffirmed the tone for how the rest of the day would continue.

In this screenshot, the number of views I garnered in a short timeframe began to increase exponentially. Throughout the day, the videos racked up thousands of views individually and totaled 50K+ overall views. This content included input from Richard Spencer, students, other journalists, and myself. I created user-generated content that made it into mainstream media within hours of its original posting. This was an accomplishment I reveled in immensely.

In the article below, I was asked about my experience at that event and my take on what had transpired. A news station native to Jacksonville, FL, also provided comprehensive coverage. After carefully explaining my purpose for attending the event, I made networking with another journalist essential and provided my recorded content, which was to be used at a later date.

In this image, are social media posts created by me for the ForwARd Arkansas organization. ForwARd Arkansas' goal is to increase equity and achieve advances in student achievement and economic prosperity for Arkansas. Creating social posts allowed me to draft diverse content while giving me insight into what it was like for families and individuals in Arkansas that came from all walks of life.

In the digital analytics below, monthly social media reports were required in order to trace the success or blunder of organic and paid social media content using the "Social Report" business platform. This platform also allowed me to draft and schedule content en masse, enabling partnering organizations to review and approve posts at any given time. The average session duration depicted in this screenshot demonstrated how my idea of boosted content that reflected genuine community engagement and relatable content would draw in organic results and audiences.
